“Strunk” is a new ensemble by the Hanover-based bassist Finn Clausen. Inspired by the music of American drummer Paul Motion, among others, the quintet plays compositions that have a clear, individual character but are also excellent vehicles for the development of their own ideas and interpretations.

Nordwest Bigband
The Nordwest Bigband is the distillate of the Northwest jazz scene. A passionate line-up, unparalleled between the rivers Ems and Elbe, unites musicians from the Northwest jazz scene in the community of a jazz orchestra at the highest level. Always on the lookout for new musical challenges, the band mainly plays a repertoire of its own arrangements in the tradition of Thad Jones and Bob Brookmeyer, with the dynamic sound of a modern big band and impressive solo moments.
